Taurus Season

We all love zodiac signs and what they say about us. Different times of the year, different planet positions all play a beautiful role in our day to day lives. April 20st until May 20th is Taurus season. You of course don’t have to be a Taurus to love and appreciate them.

Spring time is in full bloom and I love gardening and herbalism so I figured we should look into some of Taurus’s flowers and fun things to do with them.

Taurus flowers include:

  • Roses
  • Poppies
  • Daisies
  • Violets

Roses are some of my favorite flowers ever since I started getting into herbalism. A younger me would tell you they where my least favorite, but love for them grew as I got older. Roses can be made into rose water which is my favorite facial toner and cooling spray. They have anti-aging properties and nice cooling effect which helps calm the skin and heal inflammation. Perfect as a facial toner, hair rinse, and great for sunburn relief.

Poppies!! I have always loved poppies and if anyone can tell me a secret to successfully growing poppies I will just adore you for ever. Poppies boost immune system, aid in digestion and help digestion issues, relieve headaches and help promote healthy bones. I love lemon and poppy seed anything! You can take as a tincture as a supplement or eat the seeds in yummy foods.

Daisies are great for teas and of course just simply lovely to look at. Health benefits to daisies are respiratory health and common cold symptoms. helps with loss of appetite, stomach issues, if used as a poultice or balm can help eczema and wounds and sores. Helps with mouth sores if used as a gargle. Most of the time it’s the dried flowers that are used but the leaves can be used as well.

Violets are the last flower of Taurus. These are the wild violets found in our yards not the furry African violets. They are so pretty and dainty little things. You can add the flowers to your salads, make a violet tea or tincture. Violets are high in vitamin A and C, which make them perfect for allergy season. They help ease sinus infections and respiratory issues aid in healing sore throats and make the pretties purple tea. Using violet essential oils can help with insomnia and even help promote better skin.

Include some of these lovely flowers in your home this week. Fresh cut flowers, a nice warm tea, a delicious and beautiful salad, take a ritual bath and just enjoy them. This Taurus season we will be gifted comfort, better communication, personal growth and the shedding of what no longer serves us. Enjoy Taurus season!

Much Love,

How to do alternate nostril breathing

Alternate Nostril Breathing is a great way to help clear out the gunk clogged in there. Make sure to have some tissues handy. I like to do this while diffusing the oil blend.
